Renault says to suspend production in Russia

MOSCOW, Mar 24 (PRIME) -- Car producer Renault will suspend production in Russia, the company said in a statement late on Wednesday.

"Renault Group activities in its manufacturing plant in Moscow are suspended as of today. Regarding its stake in AvtoVAZ, Renault Group is assessing the available options, taking into account the current environment, while acting responsibly towards its 45,000 employees in Russia," the company said.

The company suspended the production from February 28 until March 5 due to troubles with component supplies.
